Ponies With A Purpose – Thank you

June 27, 2016 | Life at CHR

It was a bluebird day in Franktown and spirits were high. Over 400 people came to Ponies with a Purpose to support Promise Ranch Therapeutic Riding, a non-profit organization offering hippotherapy and therapeutic riding lessons to people with special needs.

The Breakfast Club band rocked the barn, kids happily played carnival games and adults enjoyed ice cold beer. It was a true Colorado event! The highlight of the day were the riding demonstrations. Participants of Promise Ranch showed off their skills for the crowd and the crowd was impressed!

While enjoying delicious pulled pork, veggie burgers, coleslaw and assorted desserts, attendees mingled around the ranch. Several tours were led by Promise Ranch staff showing off the property, the ducks, chickens and of course, the horses. Attendees enjoyed being able to meet these gifted horses and the horses enjoyed a little extra attention.

Between the silent and live auction, there were over 70 items up for grabs. The top sellers were an Antique Ice Chest filled with beer and soda and a framed Peyton Manning Jersey. The jersey sold for a whopping $1300!

In the end, The First Annual Ponies with a Purpose was a smashing success and raised over $20,000! A big “Thank you” goes out to each and everyone of you for attending and supporting this local organization. Promise Ranch would also like to extend a huge thank you to Land TitleThe Mortgage CompanyNova LoansBank of the WestColorado Home Realty and 27th Letter Media for turning this event from an idea into reality!
